The May Home of the Month belongs to Letitia Nagy and her friendly orange cat, Java. With its freshly painted black and white trim and hanging ferns on the front porch, this charming green bungalow has a crisp look from the street. Since moving in last year, Letitia has done a fantastic job of giving her new home a facelift. New paint, lighting fixtures, and tile have gone a long way to bringing warmth and charm back to her 1924 home. She also reconfigured the interior by adding a set of French doors and widening a front bedroom doorway into the living room to create a family room. She knocked out the wall between the kitchen and dining room to create a pass-through and an arched doorway. The kitchen received a tasteful renovation with new wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. But Letitia remained true to the home’s original charm and details in maintaining the hardwood floors, wood windows, fireplace, and built-ins. Her passion for home renovations led her to create this harmonious blend of old and new in which she can enjoy many future days.
