Walking around Lake Hollingsworth one can only guess what the lake side of the homes might look like. The dramatic design of the iron gates gives only a hint of what's to come. Ms. Williams was kind enough to give LMNA a chance to view her contemporary-designed home. 14 Hollingsworth Drive, originally 14 Lake Boulevard, belongs to Ms. Freida Sclafani Williams. Ms. Williams is the President of Sclafani Williams Court Reporters, Inc. She often throws business parties in the backyard of her home. Ms. Williams has lived in Lakeland since the age of two and has lived in only four houses her entire life. She bought this amazing lot in 1970, which came with a quaint home that had previously belonged to Fire Chief Pettypiece's mother. In 1975, Ms. Williams moved the little house to a road named Saratoga, on the west side of Lakeland. Along with the architect, Wade Setliff, Ms. Williams created her dream house. And it is just that. The entire house is decorated in her favorite colors - red, black and white. The entrance is breathtaking with both an upper and lower level living room overlooking Lake Hollingsworth. The detailed railing surrounding the dining room is the old center railing from Courtroom A in the Polk County Courthouse. The home has three very spacious bedrooms and two baths. In 2003, Ms. Williams continued her remodeling and now the master bath is complete with a jacuzzi overlooking Lake Holllingsworth. Ms. Williams shares her home with her beautiful six-year-old golden retriever named Maggie. She also owns a beach house on Anna Maria Island. And just in case you were wondering, the decor is red, black and white.
