March 2005 - 923 South Blvd.
The original owner of 923 South Boulevard was C.M. Clayton, a local banker. This immaculate two-story, four bedroom, three and a half bath was built in 1916. The house includes a studio apartment over the garage. The home has pine flooring, with the exception of half of the first floor, which has oak flooring. At one time, the house was owned by College Heights United Methodist Church and was used as part of the church. In the early 1990s the home was bought by Ken and Tracy Lash. The Lashes, along with Ron Trumble, completed numerous renovations to the home. Due to their restoration efforts, the home was recognized by Historic Lakeland Quarterly with an award during the Summer of 1995. In March 2001, the current owners, and LMNA members, Darlene and Robert Eanett, bought the home. Darlene works as a C.P.A. at Carter, Belcourt & Atkinson, P.A. at the Bank of America building in downtown Lakeland. Robert is a pediatrician at Watson Clinic. The Eanetts love living in downtown Lakeland and being in the center of the community. They have a beautiful Australian Shepard named Dixie who is eight years old.
